About Lakay Building & Remodeling
We’re big believers in listening to our customers. You might think that’s obvious, but we’re talking about really listening. What that does is breed collaboration, which is how you get the best results from your hard work.
Owner, Jason Pecoy, worked with his father in the construction industry for most of his life until he eventually started Lakay Building and Remodeling. The business evolved out of a one-off remodeling job and grew into what it is today. We knew we wanted to keep things simple and put family first, which is why Lakay is named after our owner’s two daughters Laura and Kayla. The name stuck and the rest is history!

“When we decided to undertake a large home renovation project, we had several concerns: adherence to a budget, quality of work and timeline. Each of these are interdependent. Changing one usually influences the other two. So, finding a contractor that was able to manage all three effectively was a real concern for us. We went with LAKAY Building & Remodeling and could not have been happier with the results. Our project was significant covering 75% of our home and did not go without the expected “unexpected” of a construction project. However, as roadblocks were uncovered, LAKAY handled them in an efficient and professional manner. Our initial contract was very detailed and as changes became necessary due to unforeseen issues with the house, change orders were prepared detailing the additional work for us to approve. We were never surprised by a charge. The quality of work was outstanding, as LAKAY self-critiqued their own work and that of their subs, reworking as necessary without our needing to be involved. If we did see something we were not satisfied with, they quickly addressed to our satisfaction. I can’t say enough good things about LAKAY Building & Remodeling. I wish all contractors were this reliable.”
